Ann-Cecile M. McDermott, a member of the Senior Executive Service, is Director, Budget Investment, Deputy Assistant Secretary for Budget, Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington D.C. Mrs. McDermott plans, directs and supervises the budget formulation and financial execution of Air Force procurement, research, development, test and evaluation, military construction, family housing, and Base Realignment and Closure appropriations that total more than $33 billion annually. In addition, she supervises financial policy development for security assistance programs.
Mrs. McDermott, a native of Henderson, Nev., began her career with the Air Force in 1987 after working various positions in certified public accounting firms. Her Air Force career includes auditing, acquisition and financial duties. Prior to assuming her present position, Mrs. McDermott served with the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Acquisition as Program Integration Division Chief for the Directorate of Global Power Programs, and for awhile as the acting Deputy Director responsible for approximately 130 programs totaling more than $8 billion a year.
