Brig. Gen. Kevin J. Kennedy is Deputy Director of Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance, Deputy Chief of Staff for Air and Space Operations, Headquarters U.S. Air Force, Washington, D.C. He supports the Director in his role as the proponent and functional manager of all Air Force intelligence, surveillance, reconnaissance and information warfare capabilities. General Kennedy is a 1978 graduate of the U.S. Air Force Academy. He has extensive experience in B-52s as an instructor and squadron operations officer, and with the B-1B as a command level staff officer. He commanded a flying training squadron in the Air Education and Training Command and served as the deputy operations group commander for the B-2 wing at Whiteman Air Force Base, Mo. His joint experience includes a tour as U.S. Strategic Command's Director for Plans and Policy and on the Joint Strategic Target Planning Staff. Additionally, he augmented the U.S. Air Forces in Europe staff during Operation Allied Force. The general commanded the 5th Bomb Wing and the 40th Expeditionary Wing.
