Daniel J. Ramos, is Principal Deputy General Counsel of the Air Force in Washington, D.C. Mr. Ramos assists the General Counsel in providing legal advice to Air Force leadership as well as oversight and guidance to the more than 1,700 Department of the Air Force military and civilian lawyers worldwide.
Mr. Ramos was an associate at Shaw Pittman, a national law firm based in Washington, D.C., where his practice focused on corporate, transactional and securities law. He represented public and private companies in a variety of corporate transactions, including mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, and venture capital financing. He was also the Vice President and General Counsel of a technology and media company located in Washington, D.C. Appointed to the Air Force in 2002, Mr. Ramos first served as a Department of Defense Fellow and special assistant to the Air Force General Counsel. He become Principal Deputy in 2003.
