Michael R. Nicol:

Michael R. Nicol, a Senior Level executive, is Technical Adviser, Embedded Computer Systems Software, Aeronautical Systems Center, Air Force Materiel Command, Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio. Mr. Nicols responsibilities include exploiting state-of-the-art engineering technology for embedded computer systems software, and championing the development and application of embedded software engineering processes to specific weapons systems. Mr. Nicol consults with the leadership from ASC, AFMC, Air Force and the Office of the Secretary of Defense on software policy, practices, and technical studies and evaluations to ensure the most cost-effective solutions.
Mr. Nicol entered federal service in 1975 and has held a variety of engineering positions within ASCs Directorate of Engineering, system program offices and laboratory staffs. He was appointed to Senior Level in 2002.
