Rear Admiral Curtis A. Kemp:

His sea duty assignments include division officer duties in USS Parsons (DDG 33); Executive Officer in USS Moctobi (ATF 105); Operations Officer in USS Francis Hammond (FF 1067); Engineer Officer in USS Wabash (AOR 5); Executive Officer in USS Sellers (DDG 11); and Commanding Officer of USS Fife (DD 991).
Forward deployed to the Seventh Fleet, USS Fife participated in Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm, launching more Tomahawk missile strikes than any other U.S. Navy ship. Fife was awarded the Battle Efficiency "E," as well as the Spokane Trophy for outstanding combat readiness and warfare operations. Additionally, Rear Adm. Kemp commanded Destroyer Squadron Five, served as Chief of Staff for Commander, Seventh Fleet, and commanded Cruiser Destroyer Group Two/George Washington Battle Group.
Rear Adm. Kemp served ashore in the Plans and Policy Directorate (J-5) on the Joint Staff; in OPNAV (N3/N5) as Assistant to the Chief of Naval Operations for JCS matters; as Executive Assistant to the Vice Chief of Naval Operations; as Program Executive Officer for Mine and Undersea Warfare; as Director for Warfare Requirements for CINCLANTFLT/CFFC. Currently, Rear Adm. Kemp serves as President, Board of Inspection and Survey.
Rear Adm. Kemp's personal awards include the Legion of Merit (six awards); the Bronze Star Medal (with Combat "V"); the Defense Meritorious Service Medal; the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal; and the Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal.
