Rear Admiral Robert Dunham Reilly, Jr.:

Rear Admiral Robert Dunham Reilly, Jr., a native of Winnetka, Ill., comes from a family with over a century of service in the armed forces of the United States. Commissioned in 1975 through the Navy's Reserve Officer Training Corps (NROTC) program, Rear Adm. Reilly reported to his first sea duty assignment aboard USS Edson (DD946) where he served as Edson's Combat Information Center Officer and Damage Control Assistant.
Rear Adm. Reilly's additional shipboard tours include commissioning USS Fletcher (DD 992) as its first Operations Officer, serving as Engineer Officer, USS Sterett (CG 31) home ported in the Republic of the Philippines, Executive Officer of USS John Young (DD 973), and command of the guided missile frigate USS Halyburton (FFG 40).
Rear Adm. Reilly's additional operational tours at sea include duties as Flag Secretary, Cruiser Destroyer Group One, where he participated in the western Pacific and Southwest Asia deployments of USS New Jersey (BB 62), USS Missouri (BB 63), and USS Midway (CV 41) Battleship and Carrier Battle Groups, and command of Destroyer Squadron Fifty (COMDESRON 50), homeported in the Arabian Gulf state of Bahrain. Rear Adm. Reilly most recently commanded Cruiser Destroyer Group Two and the USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) Carrier Strike Group, homeported in Norfolk, Va., prior to his current assignment.
Rear Adm. Reilly's shore assignments include duties as Fleet Readiness Assessment Officer, Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet staff in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, Surface Warfare and Weapons Procurement analyst with the Program Resource Appraisal Division (N81) in the Office of the Chief of Naval Operations, Surface Warfare Junior Officer Assignment Branch Head (PERS 412) at the Bureau of Naval Personnel, Joint Operations Division Pacific Command Division Chief on the Joint Staff (J3) and serving as the Chief of Naval Operation's Director for Environmental Readiness (CNO N45).
Rear Adm. Reilly holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from the University of Washington and a Master's in Public Administration (National Resources) from the George Washington University. He is also a 1993 graduate of the Industrial College of the Armed Forces (ICAF) in Washington, D.C.
