Rear Admiral (Select) John Clarke Orzalli:

Position: Deputy Director, Fleet Readiness Division, OPNAV (N43B)
Rear Adm. (Select) Orzalliís shore duties include: 29th Company Officer at the U. S. Naval Academy; Officer in Charge of Submarine Development Group One Detachment, Mare Island, Calif., with concurrent duties as Squadron Engineering Officer. He then transferred to the Engineering Duty Officer community. Following graduate school, Rear Adm. (Select) Orzalliís duties included: Ocean Engineering Planning Officer, then Deputy Production Resources Officer at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard; Operations Department, then Engineering and Planning Officer at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard.
Rear Adm. (Select) Orzalli worked as Branch Head for Surface/Subsurface Readiness on the Staff of the Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Fleet Readiness and Logistics. Rear Adm. (Select) Orzalli became the 45th Shipyard Commander at Puget Sound Naval Shipyard on 16 September 2002. During his command tour he assumed the additional responsibility of establishing the Northwest Regional Maintenance Center. Rear Adm. (Select) Orzalli was recently selected for Rear Admiral, and his current assignment is Deputy Director, Fleet Readiness Division, OPNAV (N43B), in Washington, D.C.
Rear Adm. (Select) Orzalliís service decorations include the Legion of Merit (with star), the Meritorious Service Medal (with two stars), Navy Commendation Medal (with star), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (with three stars) and various other unit and operational awards.
Rear Adm. (Select) Orzalli holds Naval Engineer and Masters of Materials Science and Engineering degrees from Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and a Master of Science in Systems Management from Golden Gate University.
