Rear Admiral Thomas J. Kilcline, Jr.:

Rear Admiral Tom Kilcline is a 1973 graduate of the United States Naval Academy and, following flight training, he was designated a Naval Aviator in 1975.
His operational assignments include flying the F-4, with Fighter Squadron Five One (VF-51) aboard USS Franklin D. Roosevelt (CV42) and the F-14 aboard USS Kitty Hawk (CV-63). Next he was assigned to Fighter Squadron One Two Six (VF-126) as an adversary pilot flying the A4 and F5. Two deployments followed with Fighter Squadron Two One Three (VF-213) aboard USS Enterprise (CVN 65). He commanded Fighter Squadron One Five Four (VF-154) forward deployed in Japan and aboard USS Independence (CV 62), and Carrier Air Wing Fourteen aboard USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). Most recently, he served as Commander, Carrier Group Two. He has logged over 5,300 hours in F-4, A-4, F-5, F-14 and F-18 and has 1,150 carrier aircraft arrested landings.
Assignments to shore and staff billets include Fighter AEW Wing Pacific Staff, Joint Task Force Southwest Asia DJ3, Air Operations Officer to Commander Second Fleet, CNO Chair to the National War College, Executive Assistant to Deputy, European Command, and Chief of Staff for Commander, Naval Air Forces. Rear Adm. Kilcline has earned an M.S. in Systems Management from USC, graduated with distinction and received an M.A. degree in Strategic Studies and National Affairs from the U. S. Naval War College, and he earned his M.S. in National Security Strategy.
Rear Adm. Kilcline’s first Flag Assignment was as Director, Naval Aviation Plans and Requirements (N780) on OPNAV Staff. He assumed Director, Air Warfare Division in August 2004.
